Having fun

Today we attended baby shower of my officemate and we really had fun because some of my co-workers prepared lots of games and prizes. This is actually the first time I attended baby shower and it was so exciting and I can't even wait until I will have one soon hahaha....... Oh, by the way my beloved husband won two big bottles of M&M chocolates because he was the closer one who guessed how many candy's inside, (his guess was just 25 pcs lower from the actual count).

Our day just went so well..... we had buffet lunch that was so wonderful.... then at night we attended a farewell party of my husband's colleague. When we got home, we didn't try to weight ourselves because we sure we gained 5lbs.

Finally my one and only sis Twerlyn just arrived in the US with my 2 beautiful nieces... I hope they will enjoy their new life in CA and I'm so excited to meet them again after almost 3 years of not seeing each other.

Planning for vacation

For the whole night we're been busy browsing the internet to get some good deals for our upcoming CA vacation on May. I think this will be the most budgeted vacation we will have lol.... I remember before, everytime we go mainland at least we have 4K-5K because my husband knows that I love to shop but now everything change because we need to watch our expenses in preparation for our baby on Oct. Anyways, I'm happy that various choices of discounted hotels are available in the net and it is so easy to compare all the prices..... So far I think Orbitz has the cheapest hotel deals and for the plane we will fly with United Airlines because I like their schedule.

Congrat Sis!

I just want to congratulate my sister Twerlyn and niece Bienne for passing their interview with the US embassy. We've been praying for them and hoping that the consul won't give them hard time. God answered all our prayers because they got approved right away and hopefully they will get their visa soon. Me and my husband are just so excited because we are planning to visit them in California on May.

Only ONE

I mean only one heartbeat hehe..... Today I had my first ultrasound and the doctor pointed to us the heartbeat of the baby... I seriously look at it and counted hoping i will be seeing 2 heartbeats, ... (asa ka pa!, lol). We are just so excited and happy when the doctor told us that everything is looking good.

From now on, I will have my ultrasound every Saturday to check the development of the baby.

Weather in Hawaii

I'm sure people from mainland will just laugh or maybe jealous with what we are experiencing now. Lately Hawaii temperature drop to 70 degrees with wind of 40mph but this temperature is like ZERO degrees for us haha... so cold... I'm telling you this is already a big deal for us especially that we seldom experiencing this kind of coldness. As I'm telling my friends..... we should just be thankful with this coldness at least there is no snow here in Hawaii. My husband who is originally from NY is just laughing with me because for him the temperature is nothing compared to NY but for me who lived in the Philippines for 28 years the temperature and the wind is already a big deal. Today at church as I exiting the door I complained how cold it is outside and our pastor just laugh at me because for him it is actually warm.

Oh by the way... even I'm already cold we are still using airconditioning inside our room because my husband could not sleep without it. GRRRRRRRR........ lamig talaga....

How I got "Hawaiinas"?

Somebody drop a comment asking how I got the name "Hawaiinas".......

Back in 2007 I asked my sister Twerlyn to create a blog for me and I just let her pick the best title for my blog. And when she sent me the final output I was so happy with the title because she actually combined Hawaii and Philippines (which is also called Pilipinas) ....... That's how Hawaiinas born.

Personally, there is only 2 places that I can call home and that's Philippines and Hawaii.
